During the Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls game on Monday (Nov. 2), LeBron James twerked after he scored and also took a sip of a fan’s wine mid-game.
It was an eventful night for LeBron, who made his debut with the 76ers last month in a game against the New York Knicks. He scored while being fouled in the final quarter, and decided to hit a celebratory twerk. The moment was met with a standing ovation from 76ers fans, who seemed just as overjoyed as LeBron was as he briefly squatted on the court with a big smile on his face.
But the apparent twerk wasn’t the only moment from the game that got fans talking. He also flew off the court at another point, bumping into a 76ers fan and causing them to spill a little bit of their drink. He then took a quick sip of the drink and immediately ran back to the court.
After the game, LeBron revealed that the drink was wine, which just so happens to be the 41-year-old's drink of choice.
“I spilled some of his wine; I crashed into him and spilled some of his wine,” he told reporters. “So, I wanted to see if it was worth it on my arm, how good it was. It was alright.”
The fan who had the interaction with LeBron later identified himself as Troy Clemons, explaining that he was walking to his seat when the 76ers star crashed into him.
“He grabbed me, he said, ‘My bad,’” he explained, as seen in his interview with reporter Kris Rhim below. “He took my drink from me and he basically just took a sip of it, gave it back, and ran back on the field. I’m just glad for him to be here, you know. I’m not worried about the wine getting on me.”
