Rick Ross sounds hopeful about Set in Stone’s chances at the 2027 Grammy Awards.
In an Instagram Stories update on Thursday (Oct. 22), the same day first-round voting wrapped, Rozay reminded fans that he’s never won a Grammy but has multiple nominations to his name. Indeed, Rozay is a nine-time nominee, including for Best Rap Album back in 2013.
“I gotta thank everybody for their conversations of Ricky Rozay, Set in Stone possible Grammy nominations,” Ross, who submitted his most recent album for consideration in the Best Rap Album and Album of the Year categories, said Thursday. “I just thank everybody for the conversation. Of course, everybody that supported the project, downloaded it, streamed it, posts. Whatever it may be.”
Ross continued from there, saying he already has a spot picked out to display his trophy should he end up being nominated and actually winning.
“You know, this is a game I’ve been in over 20 years,” he said. “I’ve been nominated multiple times. Maybe nine, maybe possibly 10. I’m not really sure. But I’ve never taken home a Grammy. So, you know, I’ve got a new crib, a new spot. I’ve got a spot waiting for one. But for everybody that’s just showing love and creating the conversation, Ricky Rozay, I thank you. That’s from the boss himself.”
Nominations for the 2027 ceremony won’t be announced until Nov. 16, followed by the kickoff of final-round voting on Dec. 10. Set in Stone, to be clear, has not exactly been a mainstay in the larger conversation over predicted nominees, though it is eligible. Ross has also submitted the French Montana and Max B-featuring “Minks in Miami” for consideration in multiple categories, including Song of the Year.
