Increasingly impatient Grand Theft Auto VI fans are eating quite well this week.
For one, South Park, in a shrewd bit of marketing, debuted brief gameplay footage during its latest episode on Wednesday (Oct. 28), complete with a mini-tutorial on the ins and outs of hurling fecal matter. Now, Rockstar Games is pulling back the curtain a bit more by detailing what to expect from the game’s original score, helmed by French duo Justice.
“The scope of the game is so large geographically and thematically that it was clear from the beginning the music would also have to be very broad in terms of emotions, genres, and textures,” Xavier de Rosnay, one half of Justice alongside collaborator Gaspard Augé, said in a statement shared with Complex on Thursday (Oct. 29). “We were given the freedom to explore as many things as we needed to, musically speaking.”
Justice’s ““Pusher,” featuring Gesaffelstein, is out now. The track will appear on Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score, billed in a press release from Rockstar as containing 30 main songs, plus “a number of digital bonus tracks included across all formats.” The Apple Music pre-release profile for the album, out Dec. 11, lists it as a 50-track experience.
“Pusher” is joined in the score by the previously released “Flower in a Hurricane” featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
As for GTA VI: The Album, that’ll be out the same day as the game itself (Nov. 19).
