50 Cent made a quick Zoom appearance in court this week after taking legal action against Tia Kemp over what he’s arguing are “knowingly false” statements she made about his son.
As we reported last month, the Street Fighter star has sued Kemp, a former romantic partner to longtime Fif rival Rick Ross, for libel and slander, among other alleged wrongdoings. In court docs viewed by Complex, Fif accused Kemp of using his teen son “as a prop and a punchline” after he joked about an alleged assault incident involving her and Rozay’s 21-year-old son.
Tuesday (Nov. 3), Fif made a virtual court appearance during which he relayed his frustrations to a judge.
“Honestly, if she didn’t respond the way she responded to the order, I wouldn’t even continue to pursue it,” he said, as seen in a clip shared in this TMZ report. “But she just went off, and it just continued to go in the wrong direction.”
The report notes that Kemp, who previously called Fif a “rat” and “pussyass,” did not make an appearance at Tuesday’s hearing, adding that another one is scheduled for Dec. 7.
The aforementioned suit, as detailed here, sees the G-Unit Film & Television mogul requesting a jury trial, plus millions in damages.
“[Kemp] acted with malice and oppression. … Her conduct was intended to cause injury, and was despicable conduct carried on with a willful and conscious disregard of the rights of a minor child, subjecting him to cruel and unjust hardship,” reads the Oct. 26-filed complaint.
