Tia Kemp has spoken her piece after 50 Cent made light of her son, William Roberts III, allegedly being assaulted in Daytona Beach earlier this month.
On Tuesday (Oct. 21), reports surfaced about an arrest being made in the alleged assault of Roberts, 21, who Kemp shares with Rick Ross. The incident occurred on Oct. 11 outside Bethune-Cookman University, where Roberts was allegedly confronted by Don Roberts (no relation), over a woman he was with at the time.
William claimed that he was pistol whipped by Don before the suspect fled the scene. Days after the crime was reported, Don turned himself into authorities on Oct. 16 and was released on $50,000 bail on Wednesday night (Oct. 21).
On hearing word of the incident, 50 Cent trolled Ross in multiple Instagram posts, with one showing Don’s mugshot and charges.
“I got him he will be out tomorrow I’m sending @drewfindling,” 50 Cent captioned one post, referring to the lawyer behind Lil Durk’s recent courtroom triumph. “This is a big misunderstanding that can easily be resolved. This was a street fight, I mean STREET FIGHTER is in theaters! LOL.”
Kemp, who was once a guest on Fifty’s This Is 50 platform, responded to Fif’s post in an Instagram reel with insults about his deceased mother and son. The media personality also posted an image of the entertainment mogul with his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy, and their 14-year-old son, Sire Jackson.
“U have NO room to post anyone’s child,” Kemp captioned the post, followed by insults about Joy and Sire. Some of the ones directed at Joy, who is of Filipina and Puerto Rican descent, confusingly included stereotypes about Japanese people.
Fifty retaliated by posting his 2009 Smooth Magazine photoshoot with Kemp. Kemp also claimed that she received a cease-and-desist letter from 50’s camp.
Ross hasn’t publicly commented on his son’s ordeal, or the rift between 50 and Kemp. He currently faces domestic violence charges regarding his alleged assault of his ex-girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick.
