Lupita Nyong'o kept it versatile at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York on Monday night (Nov. 2), ultimately rocking a trio of distinct GapStudio looks designed by Zac Posen.
First, the Oscar winner wore a two-piece ensemble in red cotton jersey on the red carpet, pairing it with a light denim GapStudio jacket. When taking the stage at the ceremony, Nyong'o swapped that out for a custom sleeveless column gown in off-white, then changed again for the third and final look of the night: a custom navy blue racerback gown beneath a GapStudio denim jacket, custom GapBag in hand.
“With Lupita, we wanted to explore the versatility of Gap’s iconic fabrics through three distinct expressions of eveningwear,” Posen, Gap Inc.’s EVP and Creative Director, said in a statement shared with Complex. “She brings such strength, confidence, and individuality to everything she wears. To celebrate the artistry of American sportswear on a night when Gap Inc. is being recognized for innovation makes this moment even more meaningful.”
Serving as stylist for Nyong’o’s GapStudio looks on Monday was Micaela Erlanger. See more from the evening below.
The Odyssey actress was on hand for the 2026 edition of the CFDA Fashion Awards to present American Womenswear Designer of the Year honors to Diotima’s Rachel Scott.
