Next month, pop superstar Charli xcx will be making her tour and personal wardrobe available to fans.
On Tuesday (Oct. 27), British vocalist and fashion resale platform Vinted confirmed a partnership on Tuesday, ahead of the sale of Charli’s curated clothing selections going live on Nov. 16 in the UK, US and Australia.
The collection pulls from Charli’s personal archive, her Music, Fashion, Film tour wardrobe and pieces picked by stylist Chris Horan. All proceeds go to Rainbow Railroad, the international organization that helps LGBTQI+ people find safety from mistreatment.
"Some were found on Vinted in the first place, worn on stage, and are now going back out into the world. Which feels like a full circle,” said the three-time Grammy winner in press materials.
Horan, Charli’s longtime stylist, sourced some of his style picks on Vinted by using search terms including "distressed," "gothic" and "flounce". Among his finds were an early-2000s Christian Audigier piece reworked into a dress for Austin City Limits; a black Roberto Cavalli dress Charli wore to the Academy Gala after-party in Los Angeles, then again during her Oct. 23 U.S. leg tour finale in Las Vegas.
"Vintage and second-hand are a huge part of my style. Chris and I love mixing older, iconic pieces with newer things. I think it makes a look feel more personal to me and always takes us to a more unexpected place," Charli said.
The pair will be browsing Vinted for their next memorable pieces and invite those selling on the app to use #charlixcx on their listing.
Charli continues her tour in Europe next February.
