Key Takeaways

  • Moniece Slaughter challenged Martell Holt to release their DMs after he denied pursuing her while married and insulted her appearance.
  • Holt claimed he checked on Slaughter after her 2020 car accident; she acknowledged he might have contacted her then but disputed his account of a conversation.
  • Slaughter criticized Holt for defending Arionne Curry rather than ex-wife Melody Shari, invoking the affair that helped end his marriage and declaring, “I said what I said.”

Moniece Slaughter isn’t backing down after Martell Holt attacked her appearance over her claim that he contacted her while married. The former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star returned to the comments with an even sharper response, questioning Holt’s version of their alleged DM exchange before dragging his treatment of ex-wife Melody Shari and his relationship with Arionne Curry.

“I have zero recollection of you DM’n me after my accident,” Slaughter wrote. “If you did and we did speak, thanks for checking I guess? Feel free to post it.” She added that the chat currently appears empty and challenged the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star to produce the messages he claimed to have saved.

Slaughter did acknowledge that Holt could have contacted her on Sept. 13, 2020—the date he provided—but said she had no recollection of that exchange. She also conceded one part of Holt’s criticism: “I was in the car with my parents and I literally asked my dad if he knew you because you were from Huntsville. Showed him your pic. He didn’t recognize you.”

Then came the pivot. Slaughter reiterated that she saw Holt was married, ignored him, and called Curry and her sister “birds.” She followed with, “Those two things are true. And maybe all 3 things are true. However, I am FAR from delusional.”

That was a direct response to Holt accusing Slaughter of inventing a romantic angle. After she initially claimed he entered her DMs in 2017 while married, Holt said their conversation actually happened in 2020, after her highly publicized car accident.

“You did respond. We had a whole conversation in the DMs,” he wrote, insisting that he was simply checking on her and had “NOT ONE ATTRACTION.”

Holt could have stopped there. Instead, he attacked Slaughter personally, declaring, “You ain’t got no sex appeal. No attractiveness.” He also insulted her intelligence, referenced her relationships with women, and accused her of trying to make his messages appear flirtatious.

Holt compared her claim to Kenya Moore’s previous allegation that he had contacted her privately, writing that he still had both sets of messages.

Slaughter’s comeback shifted the focus away from whether Holt found her attractive and back toward his conduct during his marriage. “Delusional is your heaux thinking ANYBODY should empathize with her,” she wrote of Curry.

Slaughter then accused Holt of “cheating repeatedly” on Curry, “procreating with the side b***h,” and “exercising your free will” while repeatedly cheating.

She also slammed Holt for defending Curry more aggressively than he defended Melody. “How dare you defend lil’ Ms. Loosey Goosey and not your wife!” Slaughter wrote. She capped the tirade by calling him an “adulterer” and declaring, “I said what I said.”

The fight began under a video in which Curry said she and Holt have improved their relationship over the past two years while co-parenting their son, Maverick. Curry acknowledged that their lowest moments were “ugly” and said the online judgment once left her struggling with severe anxiety.

But Holt and Curry’s history was never merely internet gossip. Their years-long affair contributed to the collapse of his marriage to Melody, and Curry later gave birth to his child. She has since joined the cast of Love & Marriage: Huntsville as Holt’s girlfriend.
