Tory Lanez' Memories Don't Die, the follow-up to his 2016 debut album I Told You, is out today. The 18-track Interscope x Mad Love release sees Lanez addressing his 2017 "truce" with Drake on the Play Picasso, Christian Lou, and Bobby Made the Beat-produced "Hate to Say."
After lines about Meek Mill and Travis Scott, Lanez says he and Drake made "history" when they settled their differences ahead of an Instagrammed meeting in New York City:
Elsewhere in the track, Lanez references Pi'erre Bourne, presumably in relation to that whole "Magnolia" thing last year.
Lanez has spoken about ending the feud—which dates back to 2010—in multiple interviews leading up to the release of Memories Don't Die. When premiering "B.I.D" on Beats 1 last month, Lanez explained to Zane Lowe why squashing the Drake feud will go down as one of his favorite memories.
"We never really had too much conversation," he said. "I think now that we just, like, spoke more, it's kind of like all of the things that he goes through I go through. I kind of go through probably on a way smaller scale because I'm not at that level in my career where he is, but I think there's a lot of similarities between us as people that we probably just never thought was there before. But at the end of the day it is, so that was a good moment."
The fateful tower meet-up, pictured below, was reportedly the result of mutual friends who felt the feud was too petty to keep going.
