Britney Spears is tired of dealing with all the tension in her own family and wants to find a new one.
In a recent post on Instagram, which is accompanied by a picture of Dakota Fanning flipping her middle finger in the 2003 film Uptown Girls, Spears suggested she still has issues with how her family, especially her sister, have treated her.
“I will find a new family!!!” she wrote. “Jamie Lynn never let me hold Ivy one time when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two-week trips and Kevin wouldn’t let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house!!!”
Britney Spears has strained relationships with her family, often criticizing their treatment of her in posts shared on Instagram. She has frequently called out her 74-year-old father Jamie Spears, who was her conservator during her conservatorship, her 48-year-old ex-husband Kevin Federline, and her 35-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.
“They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad!!!” she continued. “I will find a new family!!!”
In recent months, Spears also redirected her fans to check out a video from vlogger Julia Boteng about how the retired popstar’s mother, Lynne Spears, “failed” her.
“Find the video !!!!!! extremely interesting words coming from this brilliant lady,” she wrote in a post shared on X, formerly Twitter.
Earlier this year, Spears revealed in a now-deleted post that she hopes to have another child someday.
"It's an emotional day for me," Spears wrote in the caption of the post, which was shared on Father’s Day. "Guitars remind me of baby aliens,, such gentle strings. … Music is said to be the speech of angels. I bought this one in Mexico in hopes one day I can have another baby."
Spears shares two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, reportedly played a major role in encouraging their mother to voluntarily enter a rehabilitation program following a March DUI arrest.
