Daimler, which is already well known for its work with hydrogen fuel cells, has teamed up with fuel cell veterans Ford and Renault-Nissan to work on quickly creating zero emissions hydrogen powertrains for use in passenger cars. By working together, the three say they can use R&D money more efficiently, reduce the cost of hydrogen cars, and get them on the market by 2017.
We'll need some new filling stations too.
