The NBA announced on Thursday that New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis will be replaced by Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. Drummond has some pretty big shoes to fill after Porzingis proudly represented for the agile big men of the league last year, defeating Gordon Hayward in the final to take home the crown.

Everything seems to be looking up for Drummond. In late January, NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced that the 24-year-old would be replacing John Wall in this year's All-Star Game, joining Team LeBron as a reserve. He's averaging 15.1 points per game, as well as a career-high 15.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

Following the initial All-Star snub, Drummond took to Twitter to vent about people not paying attention to what he's doing in Detroit.

With an appearance in this year's Skills Challenge, Drummond can prove to all the world that he shouldn't be overlooked anymore.

It was also announced that Kemba Walker will be replacing Porzingis on Team LeBron for the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.

The competition will take place on Saturday, February 17.
