Key Takeaways

  • Simone Biles tearfully said goodbye to the Texas home where she spent six years, met and married Jonathan Owens, and felt she “grew up” into adulthood.
  • The four-bedroom mansion, listed for $1.275 million, went under contract within five days and sold for between $1.08 million and $1.24 million.
  • Biles and Owens have moved into their custom lakefront estate after a years-long build, while Owens begins his next NFL chapter with the Indianapolis Colts.

Simone Biles wasn't expecting to cry over a real estate transaction. But while preparing to sell the Texas home where she spent six years building a life with husband Jonathan Owens, the Olympic champion found herself fighting back tears as she said goodbye to the property that marked some of the biggest changes in her personal life.

In a TikTok shared Wednesday, Oct. 21, Biles revealed that the Houston-area mansion sold just four days after hitting the market. The 29-year-old gymnast filmed herself walking through the nearly empty residence, reflecting on everything that happened there before she and Owens moved into their newly completed custom-built estate.

"Why the f*ck am I boohoo crying?" Biles asked, per People, as tears rolled down her face. "This house will be on the market for the first time and I don't know why I'm boohoo crying."

The footage was recorded before the sale, but Biles waited until the transaction was complete to share it. She admitted that preparing the property for prospective buyers had brought up emotions she hadn't anticipated.

"I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories," she explained. "But I feel like I grew up in this house. It's made me a real adult, so I'm gonna miss it."

Biles purchased the four-bedroom property in Spring, Texas, in 2020, the same year she met Owens on the dating app Raya. The couple got engaged in February 2022 and married in April 2023, making the residence part of their relationship long before they had a new home.

The 3,998-square-foot mansion was listed for $1.275 million and went under contract within five days. The sale closed Oct. 15, with the final price falling somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million.

The property features two primary suites, a media room, a kitchen with a waterfall island, and a resort-style swimming pool. It also includes a sauna, wine wall, and dedicated dog-washing station.

Meanwhile, Biles and Owens spent much of their marriage waiting for construction on another Texas property to finish.

They spent five years completing their custom lakefront mansion, starting with the design process in 2020 and beginning construction in February 2022. The couple finally received their keys in November 2025.

"Home building requires a lot of patience," Biles previously wrote on Instagram, joking that their original nine-month construction estimate had stretched into nearly three years.

The move also comes as Owens transitions to the Indianapolis Colts, signing in March after two seasons with the Chicago Bears. Biles has discussed spending part of the football season in Indianapolis while maintaining their Texas residence.

Still, selling the house where so much of their relationship unfolded proved harder than Biles anticipated.

"Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me," she said through tears.

In her TikTok caption, Biles admitted she'd planned to freshen up the property for potential buyers and show Owens around one last time.

"I just cried instead," she wrote.
