Now, Lions quarterback Jared Goff is speaking up. During his regular interview on Detroit's 97.1 The Ticket, Goff was asked about the moment with Campbell on the field and how the player is doing.
"We're doing all right," Goff said, according to The Athletic. "Obviously, a lot of injuries that affected a lot of guys' seasons, but certainly the one that's the scariest is Jack. And again, yeah, the positive updates are great and we know that, yeah, things are heading in the right direction right now and hoping for the best for him."
Goff also spoke about the injury directly after the game, when asked by reporters about what it felt like to see him go down on the field.
"Definitely scary and just brings you back to reality for the moment," Goff said, according to Lions reporter Nolan Bianchi. "He's a husband and a father. It's scary. We're praying for him and hoping it's alright. If I know anyone that's tough enough to get through it, it's him."
The Lions' next game is Sunday against the Miami Dolphins on the road. On Tuesday, coach Dan Campbell said the linebacker was "improving," although no additional medical details have been released.
