- Jordan and JoJo skipped a recent Steelers game attended by other Rodgers relatives, though the source attributed their absence to their life in Puerto Rico and said they remain “extremely close” to Jordan’s parents.
Aaron Rodgers' reconciliation with his family may be moving in the right direction, but a new report indicates that his relationship with younger brother Jordan Rodgers remains complicated.
Jordan and his wife, JoJo Fletcher, "are cordial with Aaron," a source told Page Six in an exclusive report. However, they add, "It seems like Aaron has led the public to believe things are better than they actually are with Jordan."
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback talked about his family relationships last month on the Not Just Football podcast, revealing that he had difficult conversations with his parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers, as well as each of his brothers separately.
"There were tough conversations for sure," Aaron said on the show. "But I'm just in a much better headspace."
He credited his new wife, Brittani, with helping repair the family's strained relationships. Jordan and Fletcher, however, appear to be keeping their distance from the subject.
"They don't like to talk about Jordan's family," the source said of the couple, adding that they "don't seem to know much" about Brittani either. "It still seems like a very sensitive topic for Jordan."
The Rodgers family tiff came into the public eye in 2016, when Jordan appeared on Fletcher's season of ABC's The Bachelorette. During the show, Jordan explained why his famous brother wasn't close with the rest of the family.
"Me and Aaron don't really have that much of a relationship," Jordan said at the time, per Page Six. "It's just kind of the way he's chosen to do life, and I've chosen to stay close with my family and my parents and [Luke]."
Other members of Aaron's family reunited recently at a Steelers game, with his parents, older brother Luke Rodgers and other relatives in attendance. Jordan, Fletcher and their daughter, Romy, weren't there, but don't read into that too much.
"JoJo and Jordan's location has a lot to do with not seeing the family as much," the source told Page Six, adding that the couple remains "extremely close" to Jordan's parents. "They love their life in Puerto Rico and really don't leave unless they have to."
