Non-debatable, the ‘Royal’ 1 is iconic. It’s rumored to be MJ's favorite colorway of the Jordan 1, even though he never wore them on court—only for recreational purposes.

I say if you want them, block out the noise, restore the feeling of going to the sneaker store, picking a classic off the shelf with no hassle. If not, skip them. But an icon is an icon, no matter what your timeline or your algorithm is saying.
