We're going to spend tonight handing out candy to ungrateful little brats, but truth be told, we'd rather be playing Injustice: Gods Among Us.
It's the next game from the developers of Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, NetherRealm Studios. And it's a full-on fighting game starring a massive cast of DC Universe characters. What more can we say?
NetherRealm sent over an inside look at some of the game's characters for Halloween, and you can check it out over the next five slides. Here's their preface:
Halloween is a time of mystery, as masks and costumes confuse identities. Good becomes evil, evil becomes just. While the motives of the growing roster of characters in Injustice: Gods Among Us remains in mystery, on Halloween a glimpse is offered into their most dangerous arsenal of tricks.

Batman
Batman is as much brain as brawn, creating incredibly advanced pieces of weaponry and gadgets that are seamlessly mixed into combat with world class hand-to-hand techniques and grappling.
- Batarang – The most famous of Batman’s gadgets is undoubtedly the Batarang. The simplest version acts as a bladed projectile that is usually thrown in pairs. Additionally, each Batarang houses a small explosive that can be remotely detonated at any point during flight, creating a concussive blast that is forceful enough to launch an opponent into the air or detonate nearby objects.
The Flash
Known for his super speed, his MPH allow him to not only be dexterous and powerful – but relentless.
- Power Slam – The Flash leaps into the air and slams the ground with such tremendous speed that a shockwave is generated, capable of knocking any opponent off their feet or driving them into the ground.
Wonder Woman
Blessed with the gifts of the Olympian Gods, Wonder Woman is one of the strongest beings on the planet. She is an expert at all forms of classical armed and unarmed combat.
- Lasso of Truth – While in her offensive Lasso Stance, Wonder Woman can throw out her lasso in an attempt to bind on opponent. If successful, Wonder Woman can pull the victim in to deliver a powerful uppercut to send them reeling or grab them and toss them aside after forcing them to confess to her face their fear and weakness.
Catwoman
With the agility – and claws – her feline moniker foretells – there is more than catlike reflexes in her bag of tricks.
- Whip Crack – Whether delivered straight ahead or at an upward angle, Catwoman’s mastery of the whip allows her usually short range fighting style some ability to keep opponents away from her.
Green Arrow
Having spent years developing an arrow for every circumstance, Oliver Queen always seems to have the perfect weapon for any situation.
- Elemental Quiver - In battle Green Arrow can knock one of three custom arrows; a Fire Arrow that explodes on impact delivering great damage, an Electric Arrow that travels at incredible speeds and can stun an opponent for a short while, or an Ice Arrow that freezes an opponent solid.
