Fabolous decided to have some fun with his Halloween costume this year by dressing up as Daejon Love, the man accused of impersonating a San Francisco 49ers player and allegedly scamming women out of more than $1 million.

The Brooklyn rapper showed off his costume in an Instagram post, putting his own spin on Love's alleged scheme while promoting a Halloween episode of his Let's Rap About It podcast.

"Wide Deceiver for the San Francisco Finesse & Liners 🏈 FABJON LOVE LET’S RAP ABOUT IT • HALLOWEEN EPISODE 🎃🎙️ OUT NOW !!" he wrote in the caption.

Love, 35, made headlines earlier this year after federal prosecutors accused him of using dating apps to meet women and convince them he was either a professional football player for the 49ers or a wealthy real estate investor.

According to authorities, Love and his alleged accomplice, 18-year-old Taylor Jamie Chan, convinced women to invest money through a fraudulent scheme. Chan allegedly posed as Love's financial adviser to make the operation appear legitimate.

Investigators initially identified at least 26 victims who allegedly lost approximately $1.3 million. The FBI later identified 35 additional potential victims, bringing the number of alleged victims to more than 60.

"They were deliberately manipulated through an extremely sophisticated scheme that blended fake personas, fabricated investment accounts, staged video calls and AI-reinforced false identities," Portland FBI Special Agent in Charge Doug Olson said.

Fabolous isn't the only celebrity who decided to turn Love's alleged scheme into a Halloween costume.

John Legend previously dressed as Love while co-hosting the Tompkins Square Halloween dog parade in New York City on Oct. 17. The singer wore a full 49ers uniform featuring Love's name on the jersey, while his wife, Chrissy Teigen, dressed as San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Legend even got into character by joking about the financial promises Love allegedly made to women.

"First order of business is fixing your financial situation. If I'm coming up, I wanna take you with me," Legend said.

The joke also reached the NFL, with 49ers cornerback Nate Hobbs wearing a Love jersey to a Halloween party hosted by quarterback Brock Purdy and his wife, Jenna.

Former NFL player Logan Ryan joined the trend, sharing a video with the caption, "Daejon Love gave me the perfect Halloween costume."

Love also became a topic of conversation on It Is What It Is, where Cam'ron jokingly called him "the most famous 49er in the last two years."

Despite the jokes about his alleged impersonation, Love faces serious federal charges.

He and Chan were arrested at an airport in Boise, Idaho, on Aug. 24. Love was subsequently indicted on a conspiracy to commit wire fraud charge in October and pleaded not guilty.

If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison. His federal trial is scheduled to begin Dec. 15.
