La La Anthony has taken an interest in dating again five years after her divorce from former NBA star Carmelo Anthony.

After discussing their son, Syracuse Orange player Kiyan Anthony, on the Thursday (October 22) episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, the show's host slipped in a question about whether La La had been dating.

Around the four-minute mark of the video below, the media personality and actor shared that she is "open" to finding a new partner. "I am being open to whatever God has for me, whatever life has for me. I said, 'This is my season of being open,'" La La told Hudson.

When asked about the type of man that could grab her attention, La La kept it direct: she seeks a "confident" man.

"Somebody who likes to have fun. good conversation, somebody that likes to do things," she continued. "I like to do things and have experiences. I don't want to sit in a house all day. I want to do stuff. So, somebody who's always down for an adventure."

La La and Carmelo divorced in 2021 after nine years of marriage. While appearing on podcast Angie Martinez IRL last August, La La recalled the difficulties of her split playing out in the public eye.

"They’re watching everything. So then you have the fake smile … and you’re fucking dying inside," she said. "It is incredibly hard, incredibly hard. But what are you going to do? You gotta push forward, every day a little bit stronger until you get past it."

In June, Carmelo went public with Racquel Smith, the widow of NFL defensive end Will Smith, who died in 2016 at 34 years old.
