Now that audiences have started to dissect the latest Star Wars spinoff, many of the film’s Easter eggs have been pointed out across social media. One of the most interesting, and perhaps less obvious, references was made during the scene in which Lando (Donald Glover) was filming an entry for his "chronicles." Some fans quickly realized this memoir was a reference to the 1983 book trilogy The Lando Calrissian Adventures by L. Neil Smith. The books were titled Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu, Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, and Lando Calrissian and the Starcave of ThonBoka.
Inverse points out that while Lando is in the Falcon recording his chronicles, he mentions the “Sharu,” an ancient alien race introduced in the trilogy’s first installment. This scene has led many people to believe that The Lando Calrissian Adventures was an in-universe book series partially based on Lando’s journal entries. Those who believe this theory highlight the name change of Lando’s sidekick. In Solo, L3-37 serves as Lando’s droid companion; in the books, Vuffi Raa accompanies Lando.
