Drake and Kevin Hart linked up for a gambling livestream, but things briefly took an awkward turn when the Toronto rapper became frustrated with his production team over technical difficulties.
The two stars joined forces during a special livestream hosted by Drake in partnership with online gambling platform Stake. The broadcast featured the rapper and comedian gambling together (though in different physical locations), although audio problems briefly interrupted the action.
While the event brought together two of entertainment's biggest personalities, Drake appeared visibly irritated when he realized viewers couldn't hear the audio properly.
"The chat can't hear anything," Drake said as he attempted to explain the problem to his production crew.
The rapper continued to address the technical issues, insisting his team needed a better solution rather than a temporary fix.
"You just gotta run the audio," he said. "But that's not, that's not enough. That's not how you do it. You have to run the audio through your thing. You guys gotta figure it out."
The moment interrupted what was otherwise intended to be an entertaining gambling session featuring Drake and Hart.
Hart's involvement comes through a new partnership with Pragmatic Play, which announced that the comedian would host four exclusive live casino sessions over the two-day event.
The collaboration brings Hart's comedic personality into the company's live gaming environment, where he is scheduled to interact with players while hosting some of its popular casino titles.
"When the opportunity to host some of Pragmatic Play's biggest live casino games came up, I jumped at the opportunity," Hart said in a statement announcing the partnership.
"I've seen what they've got planned and let me tell you; they don't do things small. I'm bringing the Kevin energy to Pragmatic Play. November can't get here fast enough. Let's play!"
Hart is no stranger to gambling. The comedian has previously appeared on High Stakes Poker and competed in the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl, which featured a $300,000 buy-in.
Drake has also made gambling a prominent part of his online presence, frequently sharing his wagers and participating in casino livestreams.
Despite the audio problems, the collaboration brought together the rapper and comedian for another high-profile moment in the growing intersection of celebrity entertainment and online gambling.
As of this writing, a Hart-less Drake gambling livestream is still ongoing.
