Gunna Connects With JNR Choi on Remix and Video for "To the Moon"

Fresh off signing a deal with Epic Records and Sony Music UK/Black Butter Records, JNR Choi taps Gunna for a remix to his hit single “To The Moon.”

JNR Choi’s song, which samples Bruno Mars’ “Talking to the Moon” from 2010, has made waves across the music industry, peaking at No. 3 on TikTok’s U.S. chart and landing at No. 1 on Spotify’s Viral Hits chart.

“I know what my labels are about. It’s a blessing that I don’t take for granted,” Choi previously said, perBillboard. “Every move we make I am reminded that I made the right decision. They really walk the walk and so do I. The warmup is over. Let’s begin.”

The remix catches Gunna at the peak of his powers, as the Atlanta rapper recently earned his second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, with his latest LP DS4EVER moving 150,300 equivalent album units in its first week of release.

During an interview with Complex from earlier this year, Gunna talked about beating out the Weeknd’s Dawn FM for the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200.

“I’m definitely cherishing it, because it’s a moment,” he said. “The Weeknd is a very, very big artist. I mean, he’s done the Super Bowl and everything. Just to be fighting with him—good sportsmanship fighting, because I’m cool with him—it’s love. You feel like a big dog, since you’re going against a big dog. And it’s on its way to passing it.”
