Tributes are pouring in for Dolly Parton.
The country music icon, best known for hits like “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You,” died at age 80 on Tuesday (August 25). The singer’s death was announced by her nephew and head of security Bryan Seaver in a video shared to her Instagram account.

Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter, who had Parton join her for a remix of “Please Please Please,” paid tribute to her via Instagram.
“oh dolly [broken heart emoji] the only thing i could say after we first met was ‘she really is an angel walking the earth’ and ‘we look like we could be sisters!’” Carpenter wrote. “i will cherish our laughter and conversations and i will keep your wisdom, your playful outlook on life, and perfect sense of humor in my pocket for the rainy days.”

Kacey Musgraves
“Dolly. 💔 This really really hurts,” Musgraves, 38, wrote on her X account, before adding in a separate tweet, “The world feels a lot less sparkly all of a sudden” and “So glad she’s with her Carl Dean. No one talk to me today.”

“I will certainly miss her laugher, jokes and her being. Rest well and in total peace my friend. My heart is heavy,” Warwick, 85, wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of the two holding hands.
