BIGBANG is back with new music ahead of their 20th anniversary world tour.
The K-pop legends released "BiiiG" on Wednesday (August 19), their first new single in roughly four years.
According to a press release, “BiiiG” climbed to No. 1 on Melon's TOP100 chart in South Korea within one hour of release. The single also topped other Korean streaming platforms like Genie, Bugs, and VIBE.
The track arrives as the group celebrates its 20th anniversary.
BIGBANG debuted under YG Entertainment in 2006 and built a catalog that includes global hits like "Haru Haru," "Fantastic Baby," and "Bang Bang Bang." Their last release before "BiiiG" was the 2022 digital single "Still Life."
The group, now consisting of members Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung, announced their plans for a world tour and a “restart” to their group activities during their Coachella performance earlier this year.
BIGBANG’s world tour, now known as The XX: COSMOS Tour, kicks off at Goyang Stadium on Friday (August 21) for a three-night run before spanning 33 shows across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
Their U.S. shows include Sept. 4-5 at the Oakland Coliseum in California and Sept. 11 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
