Cardi B Addresses Rumor That Rihanna Unfollowed Her After Nicki Minaj Incident

"Why can't y'all just stop making rumors," Cardi said. She took this stance when she got on Instagram Live to address the rumor that she was unfollowed by Rihanna

How can you unfollow someone that you never followed in the first place? Cardi B basically took this stance when she got on Instagram Live to address the rumor that she was unfollowed by Rihanna, among others, on the social media platform after her incident with Nicki Minaj during New York Fashion Week. "A lot of people were doing rumors that a couple of celebrities unfollowed me and that was not even true. Those celebrities weren't even following me," Cardi said. "Why can't y'all just stop making rumors to try and make me look like I'm over and everything? [...] Just relax, enjoy the show."

Earlier this month, Cardi’s long-simmering feud with Nicki finally spilled over at the Harper's Bazaar Icons party where she tossed her shoe in the direction of Minaj. Some suspected that her outburst led to Rihanna unfollowing her on Instagram. Shortly thereafter, reports surfaced that Rih Rih uninvited Cardi from her annual Diamond Ball in light of her behavior at the NYFW event. "They told Cardi not to show up, and told her that security would not allow her in to the event," an insider toldMTO, adding that Rihanna's team informed authorities outside the venue that "Cardi was NOT to be allowed in."
