The No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft and the No. 3 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft will square off tonight, for the second time. Caleb Williams’ Bears will welcome Drake Maye’s Patriots to Soldier Field in a matchup between two 4-2 teams.

The Bears are -3.0 favorites and the game has a total of 50.5.

It’s fitting that the first Bears home game since the passing of Mike Ditka will take place against the Patriots. Ditka’s crowning achievement as Chicago’s head coach came in 1986 when his Bears defeated New England, 46-10, in Super Bowl XX.

Below, we will dish out a betting preview of this potential Super Bowl LXI matchup.

TNF odds: Patriots at Bears
Here is a look at updated Fanatics Sportsbook TNF odds for Patriots at Bears.

  • Point Spread: Patriots (+3) at Bears (-3)
  • Moneyline: Patriots (+135) at Bears (-165)
  • Total: Over 50.5 (-110)/Under 50.5 (-110)

Both the Patriots and Bears have endured major highs and major lows to start the season, but both arrive at Week 7 with 4-2 records. New England’s low point was a 35-6 loss to the Jaguars in Week 3, but it rebounded a week later with a 29-26 statement win at Buffalo.

The Bears began the season with an eye-popping 59-37 road win over the Panthers, but a week later they scored just 3 points against the Vikings in a 9-3 home loss.

The Patriots have won their last three games, while the Bears have won three of their last four.

New England is 3-2-1 against the spread so far this season while Chicago is 4-2 ATS.

Three Patriots games have gone Over the total this season while three have gone Under. Just two Bears games have gone Over the number, while four have gone Under.

The Patriots and the Bears have very similarly ranked defenses as New England ranks 11th in the NFL in average pass yards allowed, while the Bears are 14th. The Bears fare better against the run, as Chicago is 8th in average rush yards allowed and New England is 9th in that category.

Mike Vrabel’s defense is allowing just 18.8 points per game, good for 5th in the NFL, while Ben Johnson’s D is allowing just 19.8 ppg - good for 9th in the league.

The Pats and Bears last met in the 2024 season when Maye and Williams were both rookies. Maye’s Patriots prevailed in Chicago, 19-3.
