Vloneย teamed up with Tidal and Sprintย Friday to livestream its inaugural runway show during Men's Fashion Week in Paris.
The milestone event showcased the streetwear brand's Spring/Summer 2018 collection, consisting of Vlone's first-ever cut-and-sew designs. Founder ASAP Bari explained his decision to host the show in Paris, expressing his intention to inspire the youth who look up to him and his brand.
"I wanted to show in Paris to see if I could complete the mission Iโm going for," Bari, who released Vlone's debut collection back in 2014, told WWD. "I'm trying to show kids that you can do anything. Iโm not a kid that went to fashion school. Iโm not a kid that went to college and studied fashion. Iโm a kid that grew up in fashion and learned it from a life experience."
The collection, entitled Black History, marked the first time Bari has done a full line. The Black History collection included leather pants, ripped denim, various pieces of outerwear, and shirts emblazoned with the phrase Real Men Wear Black. Bari also debuted new colorways of theย Vlone x Nike Air Force 1 highs including black/yellow and black/yellow/orange.
