Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God will set up a temporary shop in Miami for the MLB’s upcoming All-Star Break. The shop, which will be open from July 8-10 at Alchemist, will feature Lorenzo’s new collection. It’s at the forefront of fashion x baseball.
Fear of God partnered with New Era for the collection, and the brands will have MLB All-Star caps for sale. Also for sale: denim, a mesh batting practice tee, a teal satin pullover coach’s jacket, basketball shorts (in collaboration with Los Angeles swimwear brand Jungle Girl), and an all-cream track suit.
Also, the collection features a limited selection of caps that highlight MLB legends including as Ken Griffey Jr., Darryl Strawberry, Dave Winfield, and Jerry Manuel (Lorenzo’s father). Limited caps will sell for $200 while original collector caps will be available in old gold and navy colorway choices for $300.
The caps will help benefit the Jackie Robinson Foundation and MLB’s Playball initiative, which encourages participation in baseball.
The All-Star collection pieces each feature a patch with the logo from the respective year of the All-Star Game. Additionally, the specific MLB legend’s jersey number appears on the back of the cap.
Jerry Manuel helped coach the 1997 Florida Marlins to the MLB championship. The color story of the collection is a tribute to that squad.
