With more than 20,000 rare and unique pieces from the 140 years of Levi's, the Levi's Archive is an encyclopedia of the brand and the cultural moments it's played a part in. Every season, the team behind Levi's Vintage Clothing take a look at the archive and look for that season's inspiration. For Spring/Summer 17, the design team have looked back to one of the most important cultural moments of the 20th century: the Summer of Love in 1967. The Summer of Love marked a moment in American history that saw a new generation reject the conservative culture and demand change. Kids from all over America headed to San Francisco and took part in a new creative, artistic and musical movement.

To mark the 50th anniversary of that summer, Levi's Vintage Clothing have taken some of the cuts and prints that are so associated with 1967 and the Summer of Love. Pieces like the 551Z jeans that have an all-over 'peace' print, or a spread collar shirt in a bold green and black graphic both bring to mind the aesthetic and the mentality of the Summer of Love.

Here's a look at the Levi's Vintage Clothing Summer of Love lookbook, and head to their site for more info on the collection.
