Adsum might be a pretty new name to you. The New York-based brand haven't been around for long, but since 2015 they've been turning out high quality collections inspired by the cities and countryside of the American North East. Adsum's releases have blended technical outerwear and sportswear to create a series of high quality staple pieces that work in upstate countryside or back in the city.

For Spring / Summer 17, Adsum have built on their past work and released a collection influenced by the legend of Stealhead Joe. If you don't know about Stealhead Joe (which, lets be honest, most people don't), he was a fisherman on the Deschutes River in Oregon who normally went by the name Joseph Randolph. Over time, Joe became a well respected, and unlicensed, fishing guide on this river. His reputation and stature grew, until he became a folk hero for those who knew their fishing in America. This Adsum collection takes its inspiration from Joe's surroundings and ethos. For example, pieces reference classic 80s motorbat engines or the colour palettes of an early family photo, while the looseness of fits reflects his own style and the materials used hark back to the wear and tear of a life spent on the river.

The collection is available now from Adsum's site or selected stockists.
