Earlier this week, Prince's estate announced a major deal with Bravado, Universal Music Group's merchandise and brand management company, who will exclusively handle the late singer's branding and licensing worldwide. This news follows the deal Universal Music Publishing Group made with his estate to oversee his entire catalog

"Prince’s legendary performances, his unmistakable style and music, his incomparable artistry—all continue to make a lasting impression on art, music, culture, design and fashion and will continue for generations to come," Mat Vlasic, CEO of Bravado, said in a press release. "I’m thrilled the Estate has chosen Bravado to represent Prince. As the leading global provider of consumer, lifestyle and branding services to artists, Bravado will bring passion and energy to working with the Estate to create unmatched opportunities and ensure Prince continues to thrill fans and impact culture around the world.”

Complex contacted Vlasic via email to expand on this monumental deal. "It is an enormous undertaking and we’re honored that they have put their trust in us. As you can imagine it was a complicated process so took some time but happy it’s finally done."

Vlasic also touched on where Bravado goes from here. "My instinct, first and foremost, is to protect the brand so we’re going to spend some time cleaning up the unauthorized product in the market place. Simultaneously, we are working on the strategic plan and have some great ideas so far. Some really amazing collaborations and some innovative programs."

While there's no specific release schedule available, it's clear Bravado has some special products in store for Prince fans looking to own a piece of his legacy.
