The Simba Art Collective is Fusing Art, Mattresses And Raising Money For Charity

Having a bed is one of those things that those us fortunate to have them often take for granted. But the number of people sleeping rough in England has risen by 30% in the last year alone, and this time of year is one of the worst to find yourself in a tough situation. 

National charity for homeless people, Crisis is working towards ending homelessness, and have teamed up with mattress company Simba on a project that fuses art with mattresses and helps the cause. 

Beds and art have met before of course (think Tracey Emin, Lucian Freud and Diane Arbus), but the mattress is something of a blank canvas. Simba and Crisis have called in five artists and worked with them on a run of twenty limited edition mattresses each, with the profits from all sales going to the charity.

Dubbed the Simba Art Collective, the collective includes Natasha Law, D*Face, Camille Walala, Kate Moross and FREEBEEZ.

Simba are also donating 5% of profits from all online mattress sales during November and December to Crisis, to help give those sleeping rough a warm meal and bed for the night.
