Most people know by now that Young Thug is no stranger to defying gender expectations. He fearlessly rocked a flowing purple gown on the cover of JEFFREY, so it's no surprise that he doesn't plan to rock a traditional tux at his upcoming wedding either.
In a recent interview with Billboard magazine, Young Thug says there will be "two brides" when he marries swimwear designer and fiancée Jerrika Karlae.
“When it comes to swag,” he told Billboard, “there’s no gender involved.” And his experimentation with women's clothing is nothing new.
"When I was 12, my feet were so small I wore my sisters’ glitter shoes," he said. "My dad would whoop me: 'You’re not going to school now, you’ll embarrass us!' But I never gave a f— what people think."
After shooting the new cover for his latest project, Thugger quickly realized his boundary-pushing views on gender were very similar to those of the designer behind the now-iconic purple look, Alessandro Trincone.
"Whoever he is, he ain’t regular," said Young Thug of Trincone. "The n—a reminds me of me."
