Nicky Diamonds, the owner of Diamond Supply Co., was the victim of a home invasion at his Hollywood Hills, Calif. house on Sunday, according to an area CBS affiliate.

Diamonds, whose real name is Nick Tershay, was reportedly "roughed up" by five armed intruders who made off with more than $2 million in jewelry as well as a rifle and a pistol. Diamonds was left with a knot on his head, according to reports. Authorities have not yet said if there were any other injuries.

The size of the haul took the neighbors in the ritzy Hollywood Hills area by surprise. “Why would you keep $2 million worth of stuff in your house?” Diamonds' neighbor John Devoe asked a CBS reporter on the scene.

Diamond's friend Ted Dhanick told KCAL9 that he heard "someone got beat up" during the robbery. He also mentioned that Diamonds had an open-door policy at his home.

"He’s always got people staying there," Dhanick said. "He’s got a lot of friends. So [the robbers] could’ve been anyone."

Diamonds moved into the house on Sunset Plaza Drive, which overlooks the Los Angeles Basin, in 2015, but he has reportedly been trying to move recently. Diamonds held an open house about six months ago, and his home is currently on the market for $8 million, according to the website Zillow.

Diamond Supply Co. has been in the news lately thanks to its recent collaboration with Puma. You can find out more about the history of the company and its founder in this Complex video interview with Diamonds from 2013.
