John Elliott's fall/winter 2016 collection is one of the lone bright spots to come out of an otherwise sluggish New York Fashion Week: Men's project. We wrote at the time of the show that Elliott might be NYFW: Men's sole savior at the rate things are going.

Now, Elliott is unveiling the campaign for the collection exclusively to Complex. For fall/winter 2016, Elliott took the military references he was playing with in his "Running Through Vietnam" collection and gave it a darker edge. "The creative for John Elliott’s FW16 collection was based off a desire to connect with the stirring discomfort of friction, "Entitled “OvertheLine," a brand spokesperson said via a press release. "FW16 explores the darker shadowy themes of tension, disorientation, & intense energy." That inspiration is on clear display in the first ads from the campaign. The campaign was shot in Berlin, Germany, by Patrick Maus.

"It’s taking elements of what we do and what we’re known for and trying to explore with it,” Elliott told Complex after the show in February. These new elements will be on full display later this week when the full lookbook is revealed on Friday, July 22. Delivery 1 of the fall/winter 2016 collection will then be made available at Elliott's website on Monday, July 25.
