After news broke that Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were now, at the very least, make out buddies, Calvin Harris sent a powerful message by unfollowing Swift on his social media accounts. On Thursday, the 32-year-old DJ possibly sent another message to his ex by wearing a pair of Yeezy Boosts at a West Hollywood gym.
Here’s why some believe the style move was shade: Earlier on Thursday, GQ released its first-ever Kim Kardashian cover story, in which the reality TV star claimed Swift was lying about her feud with Kanye West that stemmed from the notorious lyrics in “Famous.” Reps for Swift later sent out an official statement denying the singer had knowledge of the song’s content.
So did Harris use the sneakers to declare his alliance to Team West? Sure, he’s worn them before, and it could be completely coincidental; however, we must not forget the old saying: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
