An iconic piece from Prince's Purple Rain wardrobe will be going to auction next month.

The rare memorabilia is the black and white blazer with leather sleeves that Prince is seen wearing while riding his motorcycle to pick-up his co-star Apollonia Kotero for a trip to the lake. According to the seller, Prince had gifted the jacket to a make-up artist after filming in 1984.

"It’s definitely the most important piece of screen-worn Prince clothing that’s ever come up for auction," Profiles in History president Joe Maddalena told AP. "This is the first time ever for something like this, and it might be the only time because the rest of the costumes may be in his personal wardrobe."

The blazer has an asking price that ranges from $6,000 to $8,000, but it is expected to go for more when it hits the auction block at Profiles in History in Calabasas, Calif. on June 29.

UPDATED 7/3/16: Prince’s iconic blazer was auctioned off on Friday, and it racked in more than 10 times the amount that was originally expected.

According to Rolling Stone, the leather-sleeved blazer from the Purple Rain film was sold for $96,000. The auction house, Profiles in History, also reported that a ruffled white shirt from the 1984 film sold for the same amount.
