M.I.A joins forces with H&M's World Recycle Week

Ever the humanitarian, controversial artist M.I.A has joined up with fashion retail chain H&M to raise awareness for World Recycle Week.

Famed for touching on hot button issues no matter how big or small, M.I.A took to instagram to announce her involvement and has filmed an exclusive music video to go with the campaign. The video will highlight the environmental impact of clothes going to landfills around the world and will debut on the H&M website on April 11, this will mark the start of the campaign. However, World Recycle Week will actually take place from April 18 – 25.

World Recycle Week is a global initiative setup by H&M who want to close the loop in fashion and recycle unwanted garments to create recycled textile fibers for new clothes. For this year’s World Recycle Week, H&M are aiming to collect 1000 tons of unwanted fabrics and clothes.
