Durability and Mobility Is the Focus for Levi’s Skateboarding Spring 2016 Collection

It's all about durablitly and mobility for Levi's Skateboarding: Spring 2016 Collection

Levi’s Skateboarding collection for Spring 2016 is upon us and for their new lookbook the denim brand turns its eyes to the docks' of Barbary Coast, San Francisco for inspiration. Drawing from its mid-1800's period, it carries strong design influences from the service industry, dock workers and maritimers.

Just like the garments that were built-to-last for America’s blue-collar worker of the 19th century, the Spring 2016 collection made for skateboarders focuses less on style (although you know it looks sick) and more on durability and mobility. Famed for making the strongest and most durable denim products, the skateboarding collection is another addition to the long-serving brand's overall quality. To prove the strength and quality of this season’s collection Levi’s will be putting it through its paces at new skate park in Sonora, Mexico this coming spring.

Yet the despite the focus on the workmen-like quality, that doesn’t mean that collection is less pleasing to the eye. Pieces like the cargo pants, trucker and wharf jackets and the crewneck fleece inspire a decent look for casual lifestyle wear as well.
