Stone Island clearly wants to get off to a rousing start in 2016. The brand ended 2015 on a super high note, collaborating with Nike to make 2016 the "Year Of The Windrunner," launching its own mobile app and hosting an installation that looked back at some of its most innovative works. It has plans to open its first store in New York city in February. It's only right that the brand would touch down with an incredible collection timed to the store launch—and that's exactly what it's done for Spring/Summer '16.

Playing on its immense history in material research, the S/S '16 collection combines futuristic reflective materials that use glass microbes to create a bubbly pattern, brand new glow-in-the-dark knits, water-repellent wool and over dyed fabrics that give off a sort of tie-dye pattern that isn't too psychedelic for everyday wear. As per usual, the outerwear is the highlight, as crazy materials like nylon metal, super lightweight leather and resin-treated nylon not only feel futuristic, but provide protection from any precipitation Mother Nature might throw your way. This gear will start hitting stores soon, so if you have any intention on copping, you better get your money up. We know A$AP Nast will.
