Schott NYC has teamed up with America's oldest leather tannery, Horween, for the release of a limited-edition motorcycle jacket

The new horsehide piece was cut and sewn in the family's New Jersey factory after the skin was tanned for 28 days using century old techniques.

The California highway moto jacket features back lace gussets in place of the classic belt. It also includes updated features like lower lapel snaps, a heavy duty brass zipper, and a red plaid wool lining. Schott has also removed the shoulder epaulets for this clean silhouette.

The jacket is offered in burgundy and brown. It will be released in a limited run of 50.

It is now available at Schott's New York City and Los Angeles stores, as well as online
