Do you want to start your own T-shirt line, but want to avoid all the risks? Then we suggest you continue reading.

In an article published by Fortune, we’re introduced to Teespring, a San Francisco-based company that allows people to design, manufacture, and sell their own custom apparel without any upfront costs. All you have to do is submit your idea, set a price that’s above production and shipping costs, and wait for people to buy.

The free platform might sound too good to be true, but it has actually proven to be quite lucrative for some users. According to the article, some Teespring costumers made over $1 million last year, while hundreds of others racked in at least $100,000; however, it’s important to note that this isn’t the standard. On average, Teespring users make about $3,700 a year, which is still a good amount when you compare it to the $3,000 Etsy users make and the $1,400 eBay users make per year.

As of this month, Teespring has paid out $140 million (after covering its own production costs), and has distributed over 15 million T-shirts, tank tops, and hoodies. Those are pretty impressive numbers to say the least. And now that the company has launched in Europe this week, they're only expected to grow.
