Serena Williams announced via Twitter that she will be featured in the new 2016 Pirelli calendar. Pirelli, the Italian sports car tire company, puts out the famed "Cal" every year featuring artfully provocative portraits of the world's most beautiful and influential style icons and supermodels. This year's installment was shot by Annie Leibovitz, the world-renowned fashion photographer who has shot many covers for Vogue and Vanity Fair in the past, including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's family portrait featured on the April 2014 Vogue cover.
Williams has been making a lot of strides in the fashion world recently, hosting her own New York Fashion Week show earlier this week, where she had Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour sitting front row alongside her rumored bae Drake. With her presence in this year's calendar, she joins the company of Adriana Lima, Naomi Campbell, Karlie Kloss, and more.
