UPDATE (9/16/15 10:31 a.m.): The artist responsible for the portrait of North and Donda, Andy Gonz (aka Perspektiv), caught Kanye again. This time, he handed him a portrait honoring his 2020 presidential campaign announcement at this year's VMAs. As Gonz told Complex via email, Yeezy appreciated and accepted the portrait, and noted that he got Ye to smile...twice. If you know anything about Kanye West, you know that's no easy feat. See the new portrait below.

Kanye West was making his way back into his apartment in SoHo, New York City when he scooped up some new art for his pad, according to TeamKanyeDaily.

West accepted the artwork from a fan waiting outside the apartment. It depicts West's daughter North and mother Donda together, effectively envisioning the relationship West sings about in the song, "Only One." The artist behind the work, Perspektiv, is a notable creator of celebrity artwork. According to the creator's Instagram post, West dubbed the artwork "dope."

We reached out to the artist, Perspektiv (real name Andy Gonz), about the artwork and gifting it to West. It was actually West's wife Kim Kardashian who saw the artwork first. "Kim Kardashian came out on her way to the wedding and walked into her car," Gonz told Complex via e-mail. "My friend knocked on her window and I showed her the portrait. Pascal, her bodyguard, told me she loved the portrait and to leave it with her doorman." Gonz had initially only printed out a copy of the portrait, so he went home to get the original before returning to West's apartment. "When he finally came out I waited by the door to give it to him and he said it was sick as he smiled and Kim said it was awesome and he said thanks and he walked in. A paparazzi guy screamed what he thought about it and he said it was dope!" There's video below of Gonz and West's quick interaction.

He says that he was inspired to make the portrait since Donda and North never got to meet in real life. However, Gonz says, "through art anything's possible!"

West was in New York City attending the wedding of friend and marketing and music executive Steve Stoute.
