"Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" Is the Most Popular Exhibit of All Time in the UK

"Savage Beauty" is now a record-holder in the UK.

Just as it did when it was on exhibit at the MET, "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" piled up massive attendance numbers in the UK. Almost half a million people attended the exhibit, which wrapped up yesterday, making it the UK's most popular paid exhibition of all time, BBC reports.

Demand for the exhibit was so high that the Victoria & Albert museum, where it was being shown, stayed open through the night to accommodate the crowds that wanted to see "Savage Beauty" before it closed for good. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian also requested a special after-hours tour of the exhibit just recently.

If you are one of the few people who didn't see the exhibit, or are just looking for more McQueen, Nick Knight released a short film about the designer, and there's also a play about him taking place in London. And if attendance records are any indication, there's a good chance well-off Brits will never have to go without McQueen again because his face will be on the £20 note.
