Not only are NYC thieves ballsy, they also have expensive taste.

At about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, four men walked into a Madison Avenue Chanel store and quickly exited with 11 expensive handbags. And we mean expensive— $154,900 worth to be exact.

According to a report by the NY Post, police say this wasn’t a standard “smash and grab” because there was no actual damage done to the store. Apparently, the bandits didn’t need any weapons or tools during the robbery as they relied mostly on their fast feet. Once they had the merchandise in their hands, they shoved a guard out of the way, exited the store, and quickly got into a four-door red sedan.

“They were gone, man. They were running so fast,” a security guard at the nearby Kwiat jewelry store told the NY Post. “They had so many in their hands, you couldn’t get a glimpse of what sort of bags they were.”

The items that were stolen ranged in price from $2,000 to $45,000—the most expensive being a “2.55” alligator bag.

Witnesses say they were shocked by the event, mostly because it took a lot of guts.

“It is shocking, because they have so much security,” Chanel customer Judith Agisim told to the NY Post. “I’m surprised the guards didn’t catch them. They don’t keep the door locked. Most stores here keep the doors locked now. It’s very surprising.”

According to witnesses, the suspects are all black males who range between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9. Stay tuned as more information about this case rolls in.
