Macy's decision to drop Donald Trump's clothing line following his controversial statements on immigration did, and frankly still does, seem like a no-brainer. However, tens of thousands of customers are unhappy with the department store's actions and have strongly voiced these opinions to Macy's, TMZ reports.
In just the two weeks since Macy's fired the Donald, the department store has heard from over 30,000 angry supporters of the inexplicably surging presidential candidate. The store is "inundated with complaints," a source tells TMZ. Customers believe that the store is unfairly punishing Trump for exercising his right to free speech and have vowed to never shop at Macy's again. Many are allegedly going so far as to cut their Macy's credit card in half for a dramatic effect.
The store has been bombarded on all platforms, including phone, Facebook, Twitter and e-mail. A rep told TMZ that customers often air complaints on Macy's Facebook page, however, "many times it does not correlate to any action."
