The highly-regarded CR Fashion Book, founded by former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, is coming out with an edition of its magazine for men.
The plainly titled CR Men's Book will, like its sister publication, feature a diverse mix of unique talent from across all industries. Kanye West is being used as a consultant to identify up-and-comers in the music industry, and the first issue features Jaden Smith alongside male models Lucky Blue and Gabriel Day-Lewis, Daniel Day-Lewis' son, according to WWD.
Roitfeld took inspiration from iconic men, like River Phoenix, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Christopher Walken for this first issue. The famed editor believes men's style is best when it is left simple. "Fashion is the right jeans and the right T-shirt," she told WWD. "The man is more important than the clothes," which explains why the debut issue looks to powerful men.
Roitfeld's investment into men's fashion is a blessing. The main CR Fashion Book has included Young Thug,Beyoncé, North West, and Travi$ Scott in incredible editorials and the men's supplement should offer more of the same.
CR Men's Book is slated to launch with 65,000 issues on Sept. 10.
