NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala bought his first expensive watch, a Panerai (which costs upwards of $6,000 and can go for over $10,000), to wear on his draft night, but he wasn't able to hold onto it long. Iggy speaks on the experience of having the timepiece stolen, what got him into collecting watches, and his favorite watches during an interview with Hodinkee

"I had this beautiful Paneria, with Panerai diamonds, and that's when I really started getting into watches," Iguodala tells Hodinkee in the video above. "But, sadly, that watch was stolen from the Garden—during a game!" However, Iguodala took the whole ordeal as a learning experience. "Your appreciation grows through experience and through that experience my appreciation for watches really grew, because certain pieces you're not going to be able to find again."

Iguodala began reading more and more about watches and became attracted to brands like Audemars Piguet, which he loves for its "athletic style," and Rolex for its timelessness. Now, the Golden State Warrior's collection includes a number of incredible pieces, such as an AP Royal Oak Reference 15300 (valued at around $12,000), AP Royal Oak Offshore in Rose Gold (valued at around $40,000), and a Rolex Sky-Dweller (valued at $32,000). He still wishes he could replace his stolen watch, but he has his eye on a Richard Mille 56 (valued at $2 MILLION) as a deserving present for his Finals win.

In addition to watches, Iguodala also has an impressive sneaker collection and has been getting more involved in the fashion industry by teaming up with Twice.
