The Christopher Kane aesthetic is pretty clear: classic yet contemporary threads elevated with bold geometric patterns and striking graphics. It’s a formula that has distinguished his eponymous label season after season; however, for Spring/Summer 2016, the London-based designer decided to take those signature elements to the next level.

"So much of what I do is led by drawing," Kane said. "Yet in this season's menswear I wanted the texture and materials to say as much as the graphics; the rough combined with the smooth […] This season feels very much like a fully realised wardrobe; it is a very masculine collection with a real ease about it.”

As seen in previous releases, this range is dominated by sculptural shapes and a good amount of paneling, but they’re executed in a way that is both wearable and fully capable of snapping necks. There are knits with collaged bolster patterns, trench coats with a safety buckle accent, suits with decaying Jacquard features, and a grip of sportswear-inspired pieces with technical detailing—most notably the cable knitted baseball jacket.

You can check out the upcoming range in the images below. And be sure to keep your eye out for the collection’s official release later this year.
